Problems with Max 9. Today was the second time I was able to take my new Max 9 out to the range. The first time I did, the slide wasn't able to return to battery via slingshoting it. Also, just after firing a box of range rounds, the plastic takedown gate completely broke off causing the slide to get stuck back after almost every shot.Ruger ec9s slide stuck CLOSED. On that last time and the safety wouldn’t slide back to safe. Tried racking the slide and couldn’t get it to move ...It’s pretty obvious why the feed ramp needs to be a smooth, polished surface. The nose of the bullet must slide over and through this concave surface to enter the chamber. If the surface is too rough or is nicked or burred, the bullet can get stuck. However, it’s less apparent why the bolt face needs to be smooth.The slide would stay locked back when there were still rounds in the magazine. This happened more than once. Plus often when you put a new (loaded) magazine in and pull the slide back to put a round in the chamber the slide got stuck in the back position. Did a bit of research online and it seems to be a fairly common problem.

As the title states: an LCP max, the slide is stuck, cannot rack the pistol. Has not been fired, magazine is removed, no round in the chamber. Trying to rack the slide it goes back a tiny amount then is blocked by something, cannot rack no matter how much force apply backwards.
