You're misreading. Veteran Rewards are special in-game item bonuses awarded based on how long you have had an active subscription. These rewards will be distributed via the moogle delivery service once you have reached a certain number of days subscribed.

Technically I think now you can get all of them in about seven months if you do two six month subs, since veteran rewards are based on total sub time minus the free 30 days you get from buying the game.
